I’m originally from Nagano, a beautiful countryside in Japan, and I’ve lived in the United States for more than 8 years (Portland 7 years, Ashland 1 year) and make a regular trip back to Japan to see my family and current trend in my home country. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Waseda University (Tokyo) with focus on literature, a Master of Education degree from Portland State University (OR, USA) and a Master of Arts degree from Waseda University specialized in Japanese applied linguistics. I’ve also attended interpretation and translation courses at Simul Academy (Tokyo) and a graduate interpretation course at Portland States University for my professional development.
